S.I.G. LOU was founded in 1998 by Tom Spalding and at the time, the company was named Tom Spalding Insurance Agency. Starting out, the agency only represented Allstate Insurance Company. We quickly became the #1 agency in the state of Kentucky for 8 consecutive years. In 2005, Tom decided to sell off the interest in Allstate Insurance Company and become Spalding Insurance Group- a local broker. This gave the agency more opportunity to really be the company that Tom Spalding wanted it to be.
Since then, we have continually ranked in the top 1% of all agencies in the nation, and now represent over 70 insurance companies and do business in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio and Indiana. Now owners, John and JoLynne Dickinson, are keeping the late Tom Spalding’s legacy alive by continuing to have the company up and running how Tom always dreamed it would be.
They are members of Southeast Christian Church here in Louisville and have made it priority to keep Christian values in the business and know the importance of investing in the local community.
